Birgu ... Vittoriosa ... in Malta has the most special Easter procession.

These photos were taken from our front dooor.
I used a Panasonic DMC-ZR1 - just a simple pocket camera.
The procession was in constant motion, so the photography is far from professional.
What's more, I had to scale down the images to present them on a website. For all that, I apologise.
Nevertheless ... as you can see ... the atmosphere is phenomenal.
The people take this pageantry very seriously, and for residents and visitors alike, it is a spectular event.
